She earned her undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry from Hofstra University before receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from NYU College of Dentistry. She completed a two-year pediatric dental residency at Northwell Health and Cohen Children’s Medical Center, where she served as chief resident. Her advanced training includes child behavior guidance, dental trauma, sedation, growth and development, and dental care for children with special healthcare needs. ## Dr. Mauro takes time to understand how each child responds to new people, sounds, and dental procedures.
